CLAAS AXION 800 6.7L - AdBlue OFF
We visited the Nowy Tomyśl district in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, where a CLAAS AXION with an 800 6.7L engine equipped with a BOSCH EDC17CV41 ECU was immobilizing the machine due to recurring exhaust aftertreatment issues. We decided to permanently solve the problem through a comprehensive SCR software disablement directly at the customer's location.
What causes AdBlue system failures in the CLAAS AXION?
The exhaust reduction system in this series generates frequent downtime due to the nature of operation based on fluid injection in harsh agricultural conditions. A interrupted purge cycle after turning off the engine leads to urea residue and crystallization in lines and heaters. The most common faults also include damage to nitrogen oxide concentration sensors caused by moisture and shocks, as well as clogging of the dosing unit by white deposit.
Urea crystallization in lines and heaters resulting from the interruption of the suction cycle after turning off the engine.
Failure of sensors before and after the catalyst caused by moisture, shocks, and sulfur poisoning.
Clogging of the SCR injector nozzle by white salt deposits, which prevents proper fluid atomization.
Blocking of the dosing pump and generation of error codes putting the engine into a derate mode.
How is the AdBlue system deactivated in the CLAAS AXION 800 6.7L?
We perform a software modification of the BOSCH EDC17CV41 engine control unit responsible for operating the AdBlue system, eliminating the cause of downtime. First, we connect diagnostic equipment to read error codes and locate faults in the SCR installation. Then, we upload a proprietary software developed individually for this specific agricultural machine into the control computer. We also perform the necessary mechanical step by disconnecting the plugs from the dosing pump and sensors. Finally, we check the correct operation of the power unit and confirm the absence of active errors in the ECU memory.
How much does it cost to disable AdBlue in the CLAAS AXION?
The price of the service starts from 2500 PLN net and is determined based on the scope of necessary electronic and mechanical work on the machine.
